I am planning on building a Pass Blocking Offensive Tackle this next season. I was curious out of the 7 skills that matter, Blocking, Agility, Vision, Confidence, Speed, Strength, and Stamina.

I am planning on building a long term dot, but I am not sure what order I should build my skills.

My question is, how effective are Confidence and speed for an O-linemen?

I asked similar questions last week. That thread might help you a little bit.

I built mine unconventionally. I think he did fairly well considering the teams he was on (only went above 8-8 once in those last 7 years).

Aside from revcakes early in his career, I tihnk he did fairly well. In his last 7 seasons he allowed 35 total hurries and 12 total sacks.

If memory serves, I went Agility>Blocking>Vision>Strength>Speed>Confidence

If I were to build another one, I might drop vision behind strength and speed.

Personally, if I was interested in building a Pass Blocking OT, I'd still use the Run Blocking archetype.

Strength is just too much of an emphasis.

I like to go Agility>Blocking>Speed>Strength, but that's just the order, not the importance.

too bad there isn't an archetype with strength and agility as majors and blocking as a minor

and they could call such an archetype "Oakland", because that sounds like most of the Raiders OL from the last decade.
