If I delete a message from my outbox, does it delete it from the intended recipient's inbox?
Or is it simply just deleting it from my outbox and that's it?

I've played games before where outbox was tricky and if you deleted a message from the outbox it would make the message vanish completely.

No. Yes.

If you delete a message from your Outbox, all you're doing is deleting it from your Outbox. The message will stay in the recipient's Inbox until they make the decision to delete it themselves.

am I the only one that thinks the OP regrets a PM he sent and hopes to delete it before read?

Actually just deleting PMs to friends and such so I can see if the people I am recruiting read the messages I sent them yet.
