Last 3 games I have been burned on the Punt. I am not sure what player/s to switch out. Below are the last 3 punts that went for a score:

http://www.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2235449&pbp_id=6172120&flash=1

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Dan

works decent in rookie, but works WAY better at higher levels.

I am using that, unfortunately it isn't working for rookie as much as I'd like. I am wondering if it is just a vision issue, some strength.

Some things I noticed;
#1, you sold out for speed in your punt coverage team (4 LB's, 2 CB's, and a FS in the middle... a DE for a long snapper). Against most correctly set up return teams, those dots will get caked a lot... or be unable to break their blocks (which is what I saw in your plays) and therefore not be able to make plays.
#2, you have very slow (unless they are STOP centers) centers playing your gunners. Not good. You want your best agility/speed guys out there (agility is almost more important than speed as it allows you to change directions quicker and easier... a great skill for your outside players).

I would use a STOP center as a long-snapper if possible... a regular center if not. Don't worry about his tackling ability at the lower levels... it's his strength that will pay dividends. Also, for your Guard and Tackle positions, seek strength over speed. Speed is nice... but you want your front wall to flatten theirs... while speed and agility on the outside forces the returner to try to find a hole through the middle... where your big guys are waiting. DT's and DE's make good OT's and OG's. Stong LB's are good two. And, if you can't find real strong guys for that... go for agility so they can slip blocks easier and make plays. Treat your SB's like lesser versions of your SE's. They can be a little slower than your SE's... and weaker than your O-linemen. Again, agility is always good.
I know there's plenty of people out there that might disagree with some (or all) of what I posted, but it works very well for me and my returners (and stopping our opponents... most of the time. Sorry... you'll never stop them all.)

Thanks Theo, that's a ton of great feedback and what I have been looking for. I appreciate it. I will make the changes and check out the replays for the next few games before playoff time.

Cheers,
Dan

By now, you should be punting longer than 20 yards or your outside guys will overrun the returner.
