sigh..so annoyed right now. My guys are set for man coverage..they stay on the receiver till the ball is thrown and then keep running so hes wide open when ball gets there. There some secret setting to get my assholes to stay with their man. I know its rookie but the teams i play dont seem to have this problem. ..help

I'd say man coverage distance + vision are the two biggest things to look at. Given that it's 'Rookie', there might not be much you can do given the dots' ages.
Even at the upper levels vision is key for this reason (it's not just for preventing fakes).

Just as a note for lower level play, some users will place EQ in a 'secondary' area to help give their build a little balance. For example, a user may be building speed as his primary attribute, but by placing his EQ in vision, he could maybe have better success than if it was just tucked in speed.
Because it is regular EQ, you are able to reset it each offseason. There's no loss from catering your EQ to the lower level.

coverage distance is set as low as it can go on my guys.. i use custom do plays so no way to set distance there i know of. The annoying part is i dont see the same thing with my receivers.
i feel ya. the DBs on my team do the same thing. I gave up gameplanning after the first game once i realized rookie is still a bunch of randomness. Take a nice break, train your dots and shit and dont get stressed over rookie. your dots wont be able to cover WRs well for a couple of seasons.

that seems to be good advice. Though that doesnt explain why my 80+ speed guys in rookie cant get open as well
i wish i had an answer for you. all my guys are still focusing on speed except for the linemen and whatnot but they never seem to get as open either. just the way it goes in rookie.

Actually, there is...
I assume you're using your DAI to call individual custom plays, correct? Open up one of your Outputs in your AI and look down near the bottom of the Output, and you'll see drop-down menus for the coverage cushions for your CBs, LBs, SSs and FSs. The default is 1 yard, which is also the smallest cushion you can set here. (The highest is 5 yards.) Double-check those and make sure they're where you want them to be.
Also, keep in mind that on your defensive player's tactics, the cushion slider can range from minus-1 to plus-1. Make sure nobody's confused and playing at something other than what you want.
Next, what are your CBs tactics set to on Coverage Style? Loose? Medium? Semi-Aggressive? Aggressive? That can make a HUGE difference in how your CBs respond to a thrown pass.
And finally, keep in mind that sometimes you actually WANT a cushion. A 0-yard cushion is great if the receiver is just running a straight line or if your CB has incredible Agility and Vision to match all of the WR's moves. (Spoiler Alert: your CBs don't right now. It's Rookie.) But a tight cushion can burn you if the WR makes a sudden stop or turn, because the CB will have a harder time sticking with the WR.
The goal is not to be tight on the WR when the pass is thrown... the goal is to be tight on the WR when the pass GETS to the WR.

It happens at the rookie level. Here is a 58yd TD and he was double covered but the reaction of both CB's is just stupid! They act like they went to zone coverage but they were both in man coverage
I actually think that WR had First Step or something??

I will check on the dai...all the players are mine so i know they are set to tight as possible. They are all set to semi-aggressive atm i believe

Oh, that's right, you're a single-agent team.
I guess just experiment with Aggressive coverage, and try playing with a larger cushion and see if it helps. Just try different stuff out and see what happens.
If you still can't get anything to work, remember, it's just Rookie. If you're ready to rage-quit over Rookie, you are doin' it wrong.

This is what i see on offense. My guys are open...qb throws ball..wr stops top wait for it...cb closes and is on my dot when ball gets there

That's true to an certain extent, but there are things you can do to make your defense less LOL-tastic. As Torg pointed out, other people's dots aren't doing the things his dots are doing, so either there's a difference in the builds or a difference in the tactics. If it's tactics, those can be changed quite easily, especially since they're all his own dots.

You could always PM the other team's owner and ask what their CB tactics are set to. I suppose they could lie to you, but if it's after you've already played each other, they'll probably answer you.
