I go in and choose the whole team, I pick $800 per day, for one season. I have everything checked BUT when I go and look at the contract offer it's still the same as the original one. I am assuming where it says "salary" that it means daily. For example I put in $800 but when I accept the contract it will show $2539.

Or is it that there is a minimum on a player? So let's say I send it out for $800 but they player has a hard number of $2790?

actually the slight morale boost could be the difference between making and missing a game winning field goal.

In the future, I would consider this tactic. While I've never been a contract guy myself, many of my dots get signed for near minimum salary at the start of a season... then raises (in small amounts) are done during the season for the boosting of team/player morale. Since that is the ONLY function of player salaries (morale), then I believe this to be a widely used, and sound, tactic.

Just keep in mind it takes 20 days for the full morale bonus to take effect.
Teams can't give bigger contracts on day 30 and expect the morale bonus to be there for playoffs. It's based on average daily salary over 20 days.
