There's such a short window to celebrate before the next season starts. Give people the opportunity to verbally assault the pathetic losers.. ahem, I mean graciously accept the gold title publicly, thank everyone responsible, and enjoy their 15 minutes of virtual fame.
If need be, suspend the suspension and carry it over to next season. The forums (bragging, celebrating, or otherwise) are a big part of the championship game and having to miss out on that for a petty suspension is silly.
It's like telling someone they can't attend the prom, celebrate christmas, or go to their graduation ceremony for committing the same offense that resulted in their buddy being grounded from TV for the weekend 2 weeks ago.
Make things right GLB. As long as a user isn't banned, there's no reason they shouldn't be able to celebrate the gold trophy they've won in a public forum.
