if i recall you can swap XP for BTs in plateau, been a while since I've had a plateau dot though, so not 100% sure

This is true, you can in plateau which occurs on the 281st day of your players age. However until you reach plateau, you can't.

True...but it's better to swap for training points. That way you get to train and get tokens.
