Title question: approximately how many BTs does it take to both create a piece of equipment (+3 attribute and +5% bonus) and also max it.

And in your opinion, when do you start light training your player to make sure you can buy your pieces.

300 to max upgrade
50 for the +3 to attribute
75 for the +5%

Depends on how much you upgrade your training but a good estimation for most dots is probably

for 4 AEQ:
~ day 160

for 3 AEQ
~ day 200

That's if you're just building them from scratch, correct?

It can be less if you roll for AEQ in a smart fashion and get a little luck, but of course there's no guarantee you'll get the AEQ pieces you want.
