Is it better to build a piece of EQ with the +3SP and a 75 BT SA or roll for AEQ? I

Depends on how lucky you are with the rolls, if you are lucky I think the AEQ would be the cheapest.

I would fully recommend against building at least your first two pieces of AEQ. Rolling is generally quite a BT-saver when you not only have open room to accept any of your future pieces but you don't have to worry about switching body parts.

Dunno if you wanna try this but it works well for me. I like to have a pre-set amount of BT's I will spend to simply "refresh" the page. It costs 3 a pop so I usually break it off around 12. That's 2 full-on multi-training sessions worth of BT's. If I don't get what I want in 4 refreshes (12 BTs), then I'll wait until later and try it again. Dunno why that seems to get my my piece before I spend 24 BT's... usually. It didn't work on one guy this season... first time that had happened. So no guarantees... but there it is. (still no new smileys yet??? )

I usually shop at level 41 four times, and then another four times at 51. And if I don't have all 4 of my pieces by then I just make them.

Can usually pick up all 4 pieces within those 8 tries ( I might just be lucky, but idk)

Ok, here's a twist on the original question... my second free player is 3 levels behind the rest of the players on my team. For him, to try to make up on missing out on those 3 levels worth of missing SP, would getting the topped out EQ be the way to go?

Doesnt matter what you do....he will always be 3 levels behind and he can't make that up until the end build when he gets those 3 boosts back. Til then.....your just going to be behind other dots no matter what you do.

Obviously, but I'm asking if that woud be the best way to help close that gap.

What do you mean by "topped out equipment"?

Are you asking if you should build it first versus waiting and rolling for it? No. Anytime you try to make your dot better "now" you will suffer for it later.

You can build it if you want but it is better to wait and roll for a piece. If you build it and then roll a piece later and the piece you want falls on the same piece of equipment you already built then you have to spend tokens to transfer the piece to something else. Every token matters for the most part as you need to enhance attributes, shop, maybe buy a skill point, and so on.

If you can avoid wasting tokens you should.
