Building a player for the first time since 10 seasons ago. Trying to remember how to play this game.

Building a WR and want to roll for a catch ball % but I think I remember rolling later in a players build was better than earlier.

Most people shop a few times around level 41 and then again at level 51.

I've had some success at level 31, but you are better off shopping at 41+ because the items are 'better'* and for every ten levels the shop increases in size by one item.

* - sometimes I find that at level 41 you roll +5% AEQ by themselves that you can add the +3 attribute to, but at level 71 I find that they almost all have a +X, +Y and that the combinations often suck. This is why I often roll a little earlier.

Completely agree here. I usually do 4 times at 41, and then another 4 at 51. (can usually get all 3 or 4 of my pieces within the 8 tries)

Depends on how much I can restrain myself.

I try to hold off till 51.

I usually give in to temptation by 41.

And really if you are just going to get one piece, 31 is not a bad time to do it.

Why would anyone just want 1 piece of AE? Or am I misinterpreting this statement?

31 was very hit or miss for me. For a position like LB that has a lot of different usable % options, you can probably save 30-40 BTs at level 31. For positions like DE, CB, WR, or QB that really need specific % bonuses, 31 is probably too early.

41 worked much better.

Not the only one sorry.

Just buying only one at 31. Then building it up so you have the boosts from that AEQ in your early "career".

Then buy another one at 41 and then another one or two at 51.

The thought process is buying one at 31 lets you play around with AEQ early. AND you have a decent shot of getting lucky and getting a good AEQ in a few rolls at 31. But if you tried to buy 3 or 4 then you would spend way way too much on rolls and might waste so much BTs you ruin the build.

Yeah I definitely would not try it with QB. The others I have. It was probably a mistake to do it at all but it was a compromise between fun and strategy and also to give him and his team a bit more competitiveness early on.

Oh and one more way to go.

Build two or three dots where you only need one.

Go for the AEQ at 31, three or four pieces of it shopped.

If you get lucky, keep the dot. If you do not get lucky, flex him.

Lol that's a pretty good way to waste some flex. Shopping isn't THAT hard, lol.

Yeah....building extra dots and boosting them and putting them on teams just so you can keep whichever has the best shopping trip =

Well you don't HAVE to flex them if the shopping doesn't go well.

But the idea is that if you manage to really score a lucky shopping spree you can build a dot who can have an edge in training due to the need for less BTs.

.or if you are yello1, realize that your builds are so fail by level 31 that you retire all three!
