-1. What should change is that it should not just say "1 season' or "2 season" contract. It should be made more clear what is happening so people don't get confused.
It could note which season the contract will end for both the sender and the person receiving the contract. Or have it state, for 1 season contracts sent before D40, that this contract will end day 40 this season. Even just get rid of how many season contract it is, and state only which season it ends, though this might cause confusion if people forget what season it currently is.
This could end a lot of the confusion without changing the default and screwing up even more people who don't notice the change.
I don't care how it gets fixed but I get tired of having to go over and Select "2 Seasons". I don't even know why a 1 Season ends D40 that Season....They are already under that Deal so when your under Contract for that Season until D40, Signing a 1 Year Deal at that point should take you to D40 the next Season.
It's because it's a contract and not an extension. There is technically no extension in GLB - they are all new contracts. If 1 season contract is given before Day 40, it expires on Day 40 of that season. If 1 season contract is given on Day 40-48, it expires Day 40 of the following season.
This is why if you made a player on Day 32 and put him on a D-league team, he'd be cut from that team on Day 40 - the 1 season contract expires on Day 40.
Added: See these kinds of contracts all the time in professional sports, when guys are signed mid-season to 1 year contracts.
It's not that big of a deal but when your sending out "Extensions" for 5 Teams with 55 Player's, That's 275 times I have to go over and adjust "2 Seasons" instead of "1 Season"....Seems like something could be done?

Dude, use the roster page. On the contracts tab you just set 2 seasons at the top and click the down arrow beside it.
