first, is there any advantage in chemistry to trading players rather than dropping and signing? does a trade count as one transaction for each team rather than two?

second, is there something the prohibits trades between normal and casual teams?

Release & Sign -

-3 to Release
-2 to Sign
-5 chem hit.

You'd rather trade. 1 transaction for both I would believe.

wiki says:

Chemistry is lowered whenever a triggering event happens. The penalty for each move is normally:

Releasing or Trading a Human Player (-3)
Adding a player (-2)
Player's contract expires (-1)

Suppose I trade 2 players in one transaction--is that -6 or -3?

and does anyone know of a reason two particular teams can't trade--both owners having issues. one team is casual and one is normal--that's the only hypothesis I have for not being able to do it. Contacted support yesterday and still no answer from them

No, you lose equivalent amounts with trading.

If he trades away two players that's -6 and then if he's receiving two players in return that's -4. So the trade yields a -10 hit.

I realize this.
But with release and sign, what if the player gets another offer and accepts? I doubt it would happen, but some people would probably do that.

1) so there's not chemistry advantage to a trade at all?
2) the wiki could really be more clear about this
3) still can't even offer this trade--none of the players on one of the teams is shown as available. what reasons for this could exist? Rick Blaine suggested they need to be on a roster for 3 days or more to be tradeable--and they have. none have 'no trade' clauses. Any other reasons?
4) teams play on different days and times... how can I be 100% sure no one will lose XP? When does the 1 day cool-down start, following a game or at rollover? Rick says this is handled by CPU and out of Support's hands. Is it even possible to trade players between teams that play on different days and not have someone miss a game?

1) No
2) How? It's pretty clear
3) You stated that one is Casual and one is Normal. This could be the problem. When you offer the trade, what does it tell you?
4) Last time I played GLB, when you traded/signed a player they were ineligible if you had a game the next day (or maybe the same day, I don't remember) and they already played. I think they would still be on the roster even though they do not play giving them XP.

Nothing to offer if there is nothing to offer for, have seen this many times as well and never received any conclusion as to why this occurs. I think this is one issue that killed the idea of trading.
