From the OP it sounds like it is optional?
If so, +1. I don't want that much more work as an OC, but to be able to set up assignments for a few plays would be nice.

I would prefer that GLB used waypoints for some blocking schemes (rather than what dahman suggests). Waypoints would work wonders for pulling linemen, backs, and receivers on outside run plays (not really needed on inside runs).
How it would work is kinda like this; Pitch play to right (HB). The left guard and center and FB would pull along the line until they reached the waypoint where they would then use standard blocking intelligence to further the play. This way those players wouldn't feel the need to break off their assignments (to the play) to handle a block they really didn't need to.

That's the only reason I don't want it, I spend enough time doing tactics as it is.

Already suggested. Probably not going to happen.

I don't think (but I could be wrong) that they use waypoints the way I suggested. I'm guessing pathing is based on targeted spots but over-ridden by circumstances (like nobody to block or too many to block or only one dot to block so everybody converges on that one dot). What I was trying to get across is most blocking I see (in real life by pulling linemen and backs) is based on reaching the targeted area first, THEN seeking out whom to block. Sometimes it gets blown up by the actions of a defensive player... but mostly you'll see them run to a spot then look around to see whom to block. I figured a waypoint based system would work better to create this (as far as GLB dots are concerned).
