That's a thread I created discussing Targeted/Receptions allowed. Now apparently it was brought up in the past and nothing happened with it.
Part of my issue is that on screen passes it is ridiculous for a LB to cover a HB on a screen pass and have any equal shot at defending or deflecting a pass (most of the time I get blocked enroute). One thing I like this game for is the stats, and I want my coverage LB to have the best Targeted/Receptions allowed as possible as that is the stat I look at for him and created him for (thus "Coverage").
If it is going to continue to stay the way it is why not at least add a "-Yd Reception Allowed" so that if you get a
Targeted 1/Allowed Receptions 1
on a screen pass, you can look and say "sure he gave up a pass, but it was for negative yardage" thus it not being a problem and actually a good thing. Sure there is a "TFL" category but if you have 10 tackles and 1 or 2 TFL that could look to have been done on the run game. You could also go as far as look at all the games in a season and see them individually, but who wants to do that for previous seasons? Most recruiters look at the stats on the overall stat screen along with build and make a determination there. Now instead of seeing
Targeted 4/Receptions4
they can see this
Targeted 4/Receptions Allowed 4/-Yd Receptions Allowed 4
which doesn't look nearly as bad.
or
Just stop dinging a LB who has no shot at defending a screen pass with a receptions allowed.

I would just take all screen pass plays out of the Rec Allowed category. You can still get a PD but you wouldnt be penalized for allowing a catch. Any catch behind the line of scrimmage would be out.
