Allow teams to "trade" a player to a D League Team
Here is why.
One Day Wonders or other inactive players.
What that means is those guys who sign with your team and who vanish, particularly the one day wonders who join GLB, make a player, sign and then do not log back in.
These guys may not return, One Dayers particularly. So the team owner wants to release them. Particularly the One Day dots because they are so young they need maintenance to compete, most notably in Pee Wee.
So they are off the roster. Thats a given.
But what happens if they actually do come back?
Now its mid season and their dot has lost training points and has no team. The build is borked and the player has nothing to do till Day 41, weeks away.
That player may just say "eff it" and walk away for good this time.
Which is why I suggest that team owners be able to have a third option, to not just keep the guy or release, but to give him to a D League team. Just hit the option and the guy is gone and auto signed to a D league team with room at the position.
Now if the AWOL player returns he has a team and the dot has at 30 of its training points left. The player has something to do and maybe he lingers around for the season and becomes a regular contributing GLB customer.
Seems like a wise thing for Bort to do.
