So I have rushing set to 40% and passing to 60% for offense, but my QBs always end up passing for around 60 plays and my RBs end up rushing for 10 or less plays every game. When they're not passing 60 times, they pass about 40 times and my RBs end up rushing about 5 times.

I had the changing plans if mine aren't working set to 75. I switched it to 50 and it still did the same thing. And it's not like the plays aren't working...they would do this even if my RBs were averaging over 4 yards per carry. I also have it set so that my play calling doesn't change when we're leading at any time and for the scrimmages I was leading in most of the quarters yet they still kept passing like 85% of the time.

When I set passing to HB at 0% and TE at 10% my HB gets targets while my TE doesn't. I set HB to 0% and TE to 20% and my BTE gets more targets than my TE.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

k, a few things

- Auto adjust at even 50 is pretty high in terms of the amount of adjustment that occurs.
- Casual playcalling has a lot of "common sense" built-in. If you have a poor first down result, you're not likely to run the ball on 2nd down, regardless of what your percentages are set to. Same applies to 3rd down situations where running doesn't make sense.
- When you set passing to HB at 0%, that just means it won't be a playcall with the HB as the primary target. It has nothing to do with targets. That percentage isn't about targets, it's about what grouping of plays you're going to be calling. It works directly with your short/medium/long selection.

Here's what you should do.

1. Go here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/team_package.pl?team_id=0
2. Create a new offensive package. This is just going to be a "test" package for you.
3. Edit the package.
4. Click on 'HB Blast Weak'. This is going to bring up a pop-up with all the possible plays in GLB. Look at each combination, e.g. 'Short WR' or 'Medium HB'. These categories, or series of plays, are exactly what you are calling for with your Casual percentages.

I figured that, but the team is NEVER rushing on first down, maybe once max even while we're leading. The only times I've seen them rush are when it's 3rd and short. Then throw in one or two on other downs.

Try lowering auto-adjust to 0 or 15 if you want more of a blend. When you're starting at 60% for passing and 40% for rushing with auto-adjust set relatively high, that disparity is only to grow as passes are completed.

I'll try that...the option needs to explain better how quickly it will adjusts.

It even overrides other tactics...such as having a lead in the 4th quarter...for example...

3:42 left in the 4th and leading by 17 and far back in our own territory...

1st down...pass...incomplete...http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2170392&pbp_id=1812550
2nd down...pass...dropped...http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2170392&pbp_id=1812564
3rd down...pass...for short gain...http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2170392&pbp_id=1812595
Punt...

They got the ball at about the 30 yard line after the punt and after being stopped my offense continued to pass until the end of the game...even on 1st and 10 with 18 seconds left.

What happened to running out the clock? Just cause we've been passing well means all other tactics should be thrown out the window? This was set to 50 for adjustments.

Do you have the 'score based playcalling' boxes checked?

I was about to say yes...but then I just checked and I didn't check the if leading in the 4th or final 2 minutes. I thought I had those checked...Thanks!

There are some additional things to note that are more FYI and may help in terms of a general understanding of casual:

You can set the threshold to run on 3rd down very low and you won't run there much

If you force starters on 3rd down, your main HB, FB, and TE will be passing targets and won't play in run situations much because of energy. Frequently with forced starters, the HB second in the primary HB slot will run the most since the first guy just went out for a catch.

With HB passing at 0%, you could hold him into block and take him out of the play.

Set Qb favorite targets to the guys you want to pass to as it increases the risk threshold for the passer to target them.

TE % @ 10 vs TE % at 20 resulting in the BTE getting targeted is probably because of the package %'s. Say you set 50% SB Big and 50% Singleback. SB Big has the BTE and SB does not. Now if the sim calls two plays in succession with both of those, then the RTE is tired from singleback and then loses speed for the SB big play. The BTE has been rested and is more likely to get open.

PM me with questions.
