I think the boosting model has changed to enable hitting level 79 without boosting the season of creation, but I would love a definitive answer....

No you don't need to boost to lvl 4 in the offseason, as the maximum of 6 plateau boosts is extended indefinitely.

I wish I had my post link stating it would never go away. It was like 8 seasons ago.

I remember the announcement post, and could probably find it - but I was not positive that it fit within the rolling caps to allow reaching level 79, but seems like I am straight now, thanks for helping a noob.

Yeah, if that remains true then it is better not to boost to 4.

I learned a long time ago to take what you can while you can at GLB. Never assume anything is going to remain the same.

You'll probably ignore me, but you should test that. Two different people did and came up with surprisingly opposite results from that. Ignore me all you want, think I'm an idiot all you want, but take the time to test.

I disagree with this now. Without the extra three skill points from boosting it's hard to reach the second cap by level 4, so I would now say the opposite that it is better to do so.

The Commission did a test of whether to boost or wait and we were all surprised but the results don't lie which it is better to boost from 1-4 so I agree with you

So that's 4 people agreeing, good.

As someone else mentioned, don't rely on things later on down the road. As fast as they decided to keep the later boosts, they could take them away just that fast.
