I suggest that agents who own a dot on a team and blatantly spam that dot sufficiently enough to win the MVP award be considered in violation of the first sentence in this announcement which reads,

"Stat Padding is when teams intentionally do something within a game in order to get their players higher stats and/or help them out in a MVP race."

i use as an example, this rushing QB http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1918924. By quick glance, this QB ran the ball every single play in every game and ran up enough stats to finish first in the MVP race. I suggest this type of activity be dealt with according to the suggested policies in the announcement.

Better way to fix this is league contraction.

there have been way too many players doing this over the seasons. and those teams always suck, so they get big numbers but usually crappy averages. and a high % of team contribution. most defenses could stop them easily if they try but most teams wont bother since its an easy win already.

Not "better", but that's the patch we are getting.

Nah, contracting Pros is long overdue. The amount of leagues swelled during this game's heyday so it's only natural that the leagues are contracted now that the userbase is in decline. What the op is referring to takes place in the lower leagues much more than any other except reg pro.

Trophies and gear should be stripped per the previous announcement.

EDIT TO ADD - this announcement is not talking about teams that give the ball primarily to one player or only do one thing on offense (i.e. pass every play). It is talking about teams that intentionally run bad defenses in order to give their player or players more offensive touches then they would normally receive in a game.

It is Stat Padding, clear and simple. Announcement was made at time that some peeps played weaker defenses.

But if you read the paragraph above the #'s in the Announcement: Stat Padding is not allowed, and we will take action.

OP gives another example that it is allowed, thus change the rule or enforce it.

Which begs the question. Did the op or anyone else report that team to the admins?

Multiple people reported it.

I don't think contraction would help totally prevent this type of stat padding, even though that guy is absolutely retarded. As long as people can buy teams this is always possible to be done, it's the deterant of punishment against them that we need to step up.

also. maybe players in plateau shouldn't be eligible for MVP playing in reg pro.

wow, what an outrage!

Looks like that player rushed just as much in S29, but teams actually defended him.
