1 Best time would be in the upcoming off season when new teams are available. Day 41-48 depending on when bort opens up team for purchase.
2. Retire all your players and start again at the end of the season. Assuming you and all your friends made players 6-7 days ago they will never work out for you. Leagues work by age not level. So my suggestion again is- retire players for all the people interested in playing, buy a rookie level team, make the players you and your friends want and populate the team during the offseason.

3. As long as they are all the same age, you should be able to play with your friends.
4. Beyond the info above, make sure you account for the amount of money you will have available, and if this is long term/non peewee you will be spending most of the money early on on your stadium.

If you want to have full control of your teams O/D then you will want a regular team. if you want an easier time setting O/D (basically entering some percentages or using a pre-set) then pick casual.

so i need to make sure everyone retires all thier players, then, buy a team on day 41 have everyone make players the same day and then send them offers the same day???

Players don't age in the offseason. You could have people make players between D40 and D48 and it wouldn't matter.

meh There is pretty much enough info in the guides stickied in this forum to give a new owner the tools he needs in order to become a decent owner/agent. Not to mention there are private forums out there for this sort of thing.

I've owned 4 teams for the sole purpose of helping out new users. Typed up all kinds of guides and out of approximately 100-120 new users only one bothered to take advantage of them. The rest couldn't care less.

I've offered my services as an adviser to countless teams with new owners and every time without exception the newbie wanted me to run their team for them. They sat back and didn't take in any advice I tried to give them. They wanted to just be an owner without doing any work.

The first team I bought was back in 2008. I didn't know shit about ownership, AIs, or much of anything else. I worked at it until I figured it out without any advise or any guides in place.

Basically what I'm getting at is if a newbie wants to learn he will learn. It ultimately comes down to the individual being responsible for picking up on this game.

i completley understand you Dub thats why i spent hrs looking through all these postion talk forums for help or tips and all people seem to want to say is get your "speed up, retire, get to your 3rd cap". why doesnt someone with the knowledge infrom us newbs how to really go about building where to put your skill points, at what time do you so, how to train properly, how use ur bonus tokens right.

It just that if u go to lets say Conerback club there is no post that says
guide
lvlX to lvlX you should train this, this way(and really tell why u do it that way so the newb understands)
then skillpoints in this attribute till this point
and so fourth

When i have the knowledge and have played the game for a while i will do this the first chance i get becuse it will help alot of people to really understand the game and make better players so the leagues will have actaul have even games and be like an actaul football game instead of a player in ONE game being able to score 35td in a game

bascially i know you guys know this is supposed to be a simulation of what a real football game is like and thats the way it should be and i want to do whatever i can to help make it that way in the future. i love football more than anything else and its amazing to find something like this thats free to play

You're wasting your time looking at the position forums. You will learn a lot more from private forums and this forum than you will those. I suggested something a long time ago that would do what you're wanting. It was even brought up to a vote but has been ignored by the dev. He kinda half assed implemented elements of my suggestion but it didn't even remotely go far enough.

Your best bet is to hook up with a private forum that discusses builds or with a noob friendly team. I have created build guides and posted them in my rookie as well as my peewee team forums. Those are the kind of teams you want to look for.

As far as ownership, it's not really that hard to pick up on. You should bring in an experienced owner that is willing to give you a few pointers.

To learn coordinating I still feel the best way to learn is to just get your hands dirty and do it.

Buy the team now. I am pretty sure team movents happen on day 41. Not to say there will be no rookie team's available after that, but buying now gives you a prorated discount in case you find that it's just not your thing later. Request a demotion to rookie league. There will be an option to do so on team home page once you buy it .
You can not send out offers to players until day 42, rosters are frozen on day 41 during team promotion/demotion period .

Post your questions in FAQ anytime, that is exactly what it is for, although much info is already to be found if you do feel like looking for it. Some people may give you a hard time about questions you ask here, but more often than not you will get honest and factual answers, and sometimes educated guesses.

I often give educated guesses do to never being completely sure that my brain is still spewing out correct info.

Then you should consider this as a way to enjoy the game AND get what you are seeking. It's what I did when I first came here. I found (through some trail and error) a solid team owner and told him I need a place to learn and that I was willing to follow directions if others didn't mind me asking questions. This owner helped me learn dot building... then allowed me to work with the defense setup (became a defensive coach)... then the offense. I learned a TON of stuff that I would have never really gotten from the forums and wiki links as it was "hands on training" where I could SEE why this does that and why this works better and why this is the smart way and that's the dumb way. It's why I'm still here many, many, many seasons later.... and I am still learning stuff that helps me get even better. That's why it's been so much fun here... despite being slightly expensive for my tastes as a sim-based sports game.
