I'm just curious since I do have a team that is doing fairly well in silver (don't think we really have a shot at gold since we don't boost or buy CE). How many teams promote from silver to gold? There are CPUs in Gold every preseason so I was thinking that perhaps something was screwy with the promotional system.

8 teams promote, the 5 Silver winners and the best 3 Silver runners up.

We were not even runner ups last season and promoted. Maybe it is the 3 highest ranked silver teams or a runner ups went CPU?

So basically it's just a bunch of teams gutting and/or selling back once they get here?

That was the answer Bort gave in a Q & A just after the number of Silver Leagues was reduced from 8 to 5.

Maybe they should add a little box for PW teams that's similar to the league request box for regular and casual teams. Give teams the option of which tier they want to play on. That way you don't end up with teams promoting to gold that don't want to and will just gut. Of course only teams that qualify would be moved up to Gold.

It is this, but they also promote additional teams to cover any teams that go CPU in gold. After the 5 winners and 5 runners up, they take the best conference championship losers.

This happened with my Gold Test Squad team, we didn't win our conference the season we were promoted.

well, i had planned for one more year in silver, to get my ai better, now i am here, and HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE HERE..............but, i will not gut, i probably wont win any games either.

sigh

and, i(team) only only won one game against a human owned team.

Yeah, I was shocked to see we were promoted to gold after getting our ass kicked in the second round. lol

We did have a pretty decent silver league, though.

There will be extra spots when you take out all of the teams that went CPU (both in gold and ones that would have been promoted).

It used to take (after the champions were pulled) teams by how far they went in the playoffs with regular season record as the tiebreaker.

well Tulsa Pigskinners got promoted to Gold this upcomming season and looks like we are going to dominate the botom of the charts i predict a 1 maybe 2 win season for us
