before leaving beta it would be nice if the placement of the offense in the offensive playbook diagrams were a more accurate reflection of what is seen in the DPC and in sim replays
for example, most playbook diagrams show the farthest outside WRs lined up beyond the yardline numbers, the LOS at the 45 and the OTs lined up on or just past the hashmarks.
The DPC, however, shows the OTs further outside the hashmarks, the LOS as the 50 and the farthest WRs well inside the painted numbers.
The playbook images drastically expand the perceived distance between the tackle or tight end and the WR or split end.
The viewable replays are seem more aligned with the DPC depictions than the playbook diagrams.
I realize this is slightly semantic as its easy to extrapolate the differences after a while, but when trying to key on the projected path of the ball carrier on particular running plays these differences make it difficult when it could be rather simple.
I suggest having replays, the offensive playbook images and the DPC images identical with respect to initial placement of the offensive players relative to the field on which they are placed. IMO the DPC images give a more realistic perception of how play takes place (as well as how the viewable replays are shown) and perhaps the playbook diagrams should look more like the DPC.
