ok so it may have been suggested before and if so then im sorry for repeating here but here is my idea.

if a team has 40 or more cpu players on the team or whatever number is deemed competitive by a vote or something (basically meaning they are worthless and will feed stats like crazy) just eliminate their stats from accruing at all on the opposing teams players. that way only teams that have a fair amount of human players count towards the mvp and other statistics of the season. it imo eliminates the need for a blowout adjusted stats section and makes for an easier formula to calculate the mvps for each league.

as far as the wins go they obviously still get chalked up as a win for the team but each player would basically have only played for example like 15 games to accrue their avg for the season instead of 16 if there was one team that meet the criteria for the stats to be dropped. i know in pros the cutdown is coming and that will help there but in the lower leagues and casuals mainly this would help a lot cutdown on the huge numbers being created every season and imo would look much more like a real football season.

The problem is that a lot of stats are cumulative. So it may not be a team's fault that they play so many CPU teams, like in OPL Zeta there are 2 CPUs and none in Alpha. That is not really my team's fault. We were already there and we didn't know 2 teams would gut. But it messes up all the stats if some players get more games' worth of stats than others. This is especially an issue if teams gut midseason and some teams have already played them and obviously other teams have not.

In my opinion better league parity is the answer which is what we are moving to with re-organization.

yes and i thought of that but if you take out the cpu team totals completely for all teams and players just give the w then you prevent the need for blowout adjusted stats just my opinion though. it isnt something i dont think the consolidation of the pro leagues wont help some but the lower leagues are still plagued with this.

just an idea to throw out there for people to chew on

y not just count stats vs playoff teams only. then u wouldnt need blowout adjust stats and it also proves who the real mvps are. it would solve the useless cpu games as well unless ur in those league with super uber androids lol ( i still dont know how ppl lose to cpu teams but w/e)

in addition to guts, there's also the problem of the opening game non-conference matchup, as at the end of the season some teams could play more stat-worthy opponents than others and make MVP stats uneven.

but +1 to anything to make MVP races better

IMO, make CPU rosters relevant and make them either on par or just under par with human players... or self adjusting to their game day competition. Then all efforts on the field are counted. Sure, some egos get hurt (mine for one) but now we have a game that is fun to watch every 48 hours. This isn't hard fellas!

i'd go for that. make CPU players have like 90% of their opponents attributes for each game and for every 20 points they fall behind, increase their attributes by 5%. That should keep the games closer.

i think it;s ridiculous that people whined when they lost to CPU's.
