With the season halfway through i wanted to start something to see who everyone thought was gonna be a team that made it or didnt

THe wway this will go is name your team and give the reason behind contender/pretender

than give another team and do the same
Please dont do teams like tecmo and the bearphins, as everyone knows they will be in

Dallas Hitmen- Pretender. I know i own this team, but right now we cant get our offense started. We don;t have a solid attack yet.

Inferno- Contender, although right now they are 9th in the league, i think this team has what it takes to make the playoffs, i predict a 6 spot.


Im excited to hear what everyone else has to say

Bearphins - pretender. I think we are gonna pretend not to be to best team in the league until the championship game, in which we will dominate

Night Trippers - Pretender. They need to step it up. They looked decent last year but have fallen under this year, for some reason.

Crow- Champions. Do I have to explain

Sheffield- Runners up. ^^^

Yah, Kicker for the Night Trippers here, our owner left 2 days before the season started, so we couldn't get recruits because we might have gotten a CPU owner. In short, a bunch of people jumped ship and we couldn't get people to replace them

Tana River Ewoks- Contender- We think we will be able to put a strong run in at the end of the season and into the playoffs.

Posssum Trot Plague-Contender- look for this team to continue their winning ways through the rest of the season. They sure have surprised me thus far.

Yeah the Plagues surprised me, they do enough to win and say nothing. As neither the Dubs or the Express have played more the 1-2 games against contenders their loss to the Plague is something unexpected. They will be in the playoffs unless they do an about face and drop a lot of their remaining games.

the next 4 games of course will settle it all. I do not think it will go down to the last games as it did last season.... for better or worse. Me I just want to win out the home games for the fan bump and concession sales ;-)

Honolulu - Contender. Best in the west, enough said there.

LA Express - pretender. Once a powerful team, have been very unlucky this year and don't seem to have what it takes to make it to the playoffs.

I'd say

Western Conference

Pretender- Long Beach Dub All Stars- Hate to say because they were one of the teams I anticipated being a top 5 team.

Pretender-LA Express-Not a bad team but with a talent filled Western conference they are average at best.

Contender-Timpanogos Thunder-Lost a game against the juggernaut but are still a force to be reckoned with. They've rolled over teams and I expect a hard fought game between the Beach Boys and Thunder.

Eastern Conference

Pretender-Night Trippers-Enough said

Pretender-Philadelphia Pigeons-Unimpressive wins and big losses. They'll surely make the playoffs but won't make it far.

Contender- Saint Paul Vulcans-Got unlucky against the Saints in Game 1 and lost to Tecmo in week 2. Since then they've been elite.

Contender- NJ Blaze- Really didn't expect them to pull off the win against the Bearphins but they did. I know players from each teams could be unboosted and their is certain circumstances, etc but they still really impressed me and are certainly a contender.

Chicago Inferno-Pretender These guys impressed me early on but lately hae been totaly unimpressive. Oh well thats the west for you.

Wow, we lost twice this year to teams with a combined record of 15 and 3.

Yah, its really starting to be tough to be a Night tripper Kicker, I've gotten exactly 1 FG attempt in the last 3 games
