Im not sure exactly when it gets used. I dont see it in basic offensive settings, and with advanced a.i. you're basically creating your own playbook. Is there any need for it?

Don't get me wrong, I have various playbooks I use but that's for preseason scrims so I can test out the sim. I'll use AIs that don't have plays or packages so the OAI pulls from the playbooks. I never use those AIs or playbooks during the regular season, however.

I had an OC who basically used a shell AI and only pulled plays from the Playbook. He was p.good but we kicked a ton of FGs for some reason.

Your team will only run plays that you have in your playbook. If there's some play you never want to see run simply remove it from your playbook.

Also, i should add..

The only plays available to use when you are creating your offense - are the plays in the active playbook.

In other words, if you remove a play from your playbook, you won't even see it. That way you can't accidentally have it in your packages or whatever.

So does the Offense AI Package override all other playcalling areas? Like in the offensive Presets

If you put a play in a package, then take it out of the playbook, it will still run.

Very interesting... My understanding was that it wouldn't. I haven't tested that so I will take your word for it.
