Just as you can block someone from emailing you, I think we need an ignore user button where it would hide everything that they post, in additions to any emails, etc....

In threads that they post in, their posts would show with just a message that says "IGNORED" instead of their actual posts.

I have someone I want to try this out on.....

I can see the need. I can also see the negative aspect of the continuity inside a thread potentially being disrupted. Not to mention, you'd still see quoted comments.

More of those need to be a routine part of the game.

some people are gonna block other people for the hell of it without a reason why and while the person is blocked he won't be able to talk to the person who blocked him. Also like Myd said we're going to still see people referencing people's comments that we've blocked without knowing what they're talking about.

I can also see the pluses though, like blocking trollers, etc

Sorry a bit confused, but if someone is blocked in the OP's block list does that mean that the blocked person's post is re-written with IGNORED for everyone to see no matter which computer/account is being used?
