The proposed contraction end point blows.
It leaves zero identity at the top tiers.
Half of World League takes a powder every season, as does half of the 4 National Pro Leagues.
No one will care about their leagues, no one will have rivalries, no one will no who they are even playing against half the time.
That IMO blows, and is a recipe for "Who Cares..Log..Quit"
The solution - Trash World League.
Keep your Four National Pros. Though IMO it would be better at the current 8 but that ship has sailed it seems, too bad my flex probably will with it, but just in case not....
Four National Pro Teams compete as usual
Day 41 - Top Four Teams from each Nat Pro compete in World Championship Tournament Round 1, Day 42 Round Two, Day 43 Hemisphere Championship Round Three, Day 44 World Championship Bort Bowl.
Contracts are extended to Day 44 instead of Day 40. But Letters of Intent (see the other thread been around a while) may be sent.
Day 45 is the new Day 41, 46 the new 42.
National Pro teams no longer promote (obviously).
With 32 Muy Macho Hyper Super Star Playmaker Builds from World League, the need to drop teams from National Pro would also be reduced. Therefore the demotion from National Pro could be reduced to the bottom four teams in each conference.
The top 32 Teams from Regional Pro Elite (Conference Championship Game Teams in four Elite Leagues would be my suggestion).
