Create a "Zombie" League. The players would have to be 500+ days old and you could draft or "buy" players from any agent that has been inactive for over 2 years or use your own.

Profit for Bort, DD, & Catch--Sell "Stiff Points" instead of "Flex Points" at a substantially cut rate. These points would slow further player decay, sort of an "anti-aging" points. Something like 10 cents a day. Plus it would slow flex recycling and spur more new flex purchasing. Don't forget MY cut!

AEQ would be leather helmets and steel cleats. You could use the cleats as weapons. You could also buy forearm casts and cortizone shots.

I like the idea.Gives incentive for another possibility.Un-retiring players at 70% the cost of the flex returned on retirement.
After all these players wouldn't be worth the full return so 70% would be fair since we also only get back 70% upon retirement.
Then this Zombie League would work out just fine

We also need gambling and non-boost leagues.
