I have 4 players all over 1000 days old, but I haven't played this game in a couple years. When I did play, I played in pro leagues and the highest level players in the game weren't that much higher than me.

Are my players still viable? Is there an age limit on players that will hinder my players?

Each of my players have about 70 Veteran points to spend and 20-30 skill points. Is that a lot?

A lot has changed and I'm just looking for some guidance to get back in.

Thanks

Your players are too old - look at the modified attributes taking into account the decline, they will be around 75% lower than before.

Also with age based leagues they wouldn't be able to play with other lvl 30 players. It is better to retire them and start again (ideally on day 40). In the meanwhile, you can play around with the free player I suppose.

Not really, no. Because....(see below)

Yes. At age 281 players hit plateau and stop getting XP and training points. They stay in plateau for a number days that is determine by the number of times they are boosted. Thus the exact age that a player starts to decline is not set in stone, but all will start declining by 400 days old. Your players are 600 days in plateau and thus are worse than a level 1 player at this point.

You should retire them.

That's a terrible way to get players who have quit to return.....but ok, thanks.

You get 70% flex back to start over. Not a bad deal to be honest.

Ok. Well let me ask this. When I played, and the way I'm planning on playing again is 100% max. I always boosted, was on a team that had a complete training plan, etc.

Is creating on day 40 or the offseason a significant boost over creating a player right now?

Yes. For one thing, you get 18 more days of training (8 offseason, 8 preseason, + 2 regular season days since it is day 2 now). This is because offseason and preseason days do not age players, so those are essentially free days. Secondly, you can boost from 1 to 4 on day 48 and start your first regular season at level 4 and still have boosts for that season. That will ensure that your players are the maximum level for their age throughout their career. I would use this season to learn about the training changes (some significant changes were made) and then retire and make them for real on Day 40.

I will do that. Thank you very much.

Not too mention he'll have a hard time finding a team, out of all the 1000+ day old players, not one I saw has a team.

Don't forget GLB now offers a free player.

You can create a player, boost, etc. without using any flex. You only get 1, but if you retire the free player at any point you can make another free player.

And I would go ahead and make this free player and play around with him and get to know the game again while waiting for next season...then just retire him and make him anytime between day 40 and day 48 of this season.

And welcome back!
