I just had my worst season. got knocked out of competitive figure at least I will have a shot in a regular conf. spend a week recruiting and watch three teams in my conference magically fill up with level 79 players so they can just thump my level 68 team. I might as well as not play this season because its just a waste of time,

http://goallineblitz.com/game/league.pl?league_id=16&conference_id=32

I understand the bottleneck thing at the pro level but its almost a self fulfilling prophesy, people retire or drop down because there is no sense in playing when u have to go against guys 10 and 11 levels above you. I boost every season and now I have the next entire season that means absolutely nothing.
My suggestion

If you are going to mix players 11 levels apart at least come up with some way to keep the 70+ level players in elite or some conf primarily for them so the season isn't ruined for everyone else.
Or
at least try to keep teams of similar levels in the same conference. all those level 79 guys that just signed since the new season announcement was done to circumvent whatever script you guys use now to place teams. Run the script again to catch teams like this and force them to play competitive teams

This is what I've been saying all along, lol. You either keep your Chemistry up and keep the Players you have and get kicked around or you piss alot of Agents off by replacing them for Lvl. 79's and watch your Chemistry go to shit and still get beat up sometimes. Either way, It makes no since the way they do it. They put some straight out of Semi-Pro in Reg. Elite while there is Lvl. 79 Teams down in Comp.?

'course they could care less cuz they already have the money it took to make the dots and run the teams...

They cant seem to understand why people leave the game.

I will say this though. I think I am in a league that looks to be the most competitive I have been in in about 12 seasons. This kind of league should be for everyone, lotsa the same teams from last season, the gutted cpus mostly gone and some nice looking teams coming in.

GLB should have contracted the Pros rather than extending plateau.

I actually think its a money loser.

In this instance, there are 4 teams in my conf full of players that will either 1 go inactive or 2 not bother to boost. All 220 players are looking at roughly 50 days of boredom. I don't think I will boost my guys. Why waste the money with no chance of winning and the same thing probably happening to them next season?

Why would teams not boost? If you don't boost, then you might as well retire the player instead because the player is stuck never reaching 79 at that point. Also from your original link this is what your conference looks like:

Rank... Players... Age... Level... Value..... Eff Level... Salary............. Team...
1 ......... 43 .......... 311 ..... 75 ..... 1253.23 .... 79 ....... $10,390,320 ... Motor City Heavenraisers
2 ......... 40 .......... 343 ..... 76 ..... 1213.95 .... 78 ....... $21,040,000 ... Nevada Farm Boys
3 ......... 1 .......... 327 ..... 79 ..... 1193.90 .... 79 ....... $5,268,000 ... Oregon Ducks
4 ......... 55 .......... 240 ..... 69 ..... 1175.11 .... 76 ....... $17,600,000 ... Fiji Ventures
5 ......... 54 .......... 241 ..... 69 ..... 1139.40 .... 76 ....... $10,112,360 ... Metropolis Men of Steel
6 ......... 55 .......... 239 ..... 68 ..... 1116.58 .... 74 ....... $6,780,000 ... Royal Dirty Penguins
7 ......... 53 .......... 240 ..... 68 ..... 1109.81 .... 74 ....... $17,285,480 ... Buffalo Storms
8 ......... 55 .......... 244 ..... 69 ..... 1100.24 .... 73 ....... $10,370,000 ... Aegean Sea Wasps
9 ......... 7 .......... 313 ..... 64 ..... 1056.22 .... 67 ....... $13,328,040 ... South Side Cracked-out All Stars
10 ......... 22 .......... 425 ..... 69 ..... 1055.31 .... 68 ....... $6,856,000 ... Portsmouth Virginians
11 ......... 12 .......... 278 ..... 58 ..... 864.00 .... 55 ....... $11,386,440 ... Brockley Badgers
12 ......... 9 .......... 353 ..... 53 ..... 794.64 .... 48 ....... $12,266,280 ... Ohio State Buckeyes
13 ......... 4 .......... 369 ..... 55 ..... 737.43 .... 44 ....... $11,961,320 ... GlobeDotters: Anti-Merger
14 ......... 6 .......... 396 ..... 47 ..... 624.37 .... 38 ....... $4,923,600 ... Hells Saints
15 ......... 3 .......... 295 ..... 42 ..... 614.79 .... 37 ....... $11,634,040 ... Cincinnati 1% er's
16 ......... 0 .......... NaN ..... 0 ..... 0.00 .... 0 ....... $8,174,240 ... SLA Industries

So you have 1 team with 43 players on it at the top effective player value (and only about half the team is 79s, most of which are not terribly great not to mention the cpu's), another with 40 where much of the offense is filled with CPU players. 9 of the 16 teams don't even have a min roster yet. Also keep in mind that while those teams are where they are and won't improve much over the season, your players will still get boosts, VA points, equipment upgrades and the EPV will quickly even out.

Not saying it isn't an issue with people trying to fill teams with players to take on a weak league, i don't think this is one of those cases. There is no guarantee any of those teams with level 79 players are going to be unbeatable. And i would guess that with all those CPU players and no backups that it's going to be much easier than you think with some game planning.

But as i said, if you just throw up your hands and quit, you won't win. And you might as well retire the players if you don't boost since they will then be unable to ever reach level 79. Rather than assume you will just get blown out, play the season out and see what happens. I would be more worried about the couple teams with full rosters around the same age than a couple teams with 20 level 79 guys, some guys in the mid to low 60's and some cpu players.

The only realistic way to do regional pro's would be to split it into 2 levels, and do you really want to make it take even longer to have a shot at nat pro?

So i'd have to say -1 to the suggestion as is. Perhaps they needed to have another level separating the 240 age players from the 280+ players but this would mean that most teams wouldn't even get a chance at nat pro until they are into their second season in plateau.

here is one of the teams (just the first one I happened to hit clicking down the list)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=2061

every starting position except punter, 1 OT, and TE is a level 79 player that is at on average about 77 days older then everyone on my team. That's 77 days of xtra training etc. Everyone in the pros has 40+ staminia those cpu players will rarely if ever see the field

at 240 days old level 68 or 69 it would be two season and two boosts (over 100 days ) before we could be sure of at least being competitive again. That's if I could hold the team together that long which I cant since some are already asking to be released so they can retire or join a team with a chance at something besides beating up cpu teams and getting beat up by teams way over there level.

waiting 100 days and 6 boost (works out to about 108 dollars for me) to be competitive seem a little much to expect from someone playing a game on the internet that's supposed to be fun.

Anyone can look at the chemistry bar and see those guys all signed in the last two days.

same with this team

Not saying this isn't an issue but last time I checked, a team can only recruit dots that are either 181d+ and Lv51-88 so that means teams on Reg Pro can recruit level 79 dots. You should have tried to recruit level 79s too.

If by chance glance on Reg Pro Elite #1 and Reg Pro Elite #2, there are a few teams there that are also level 79 but majority are level 68+.

You have 10 games that are automatic wins, and 6 competitive games, that could go either way on your schedule. And your complaining about what?

You cant read?

Playing a team that has starters that have had 77 days more training and 3 or 6 more boosts then your guys is not "competitive" except in a fairy tale

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=743 Don't you like the way the Network Teams magically fill up with Lvl. 79's in a Chemistry Grace Period? Thought there was rules against Gaming the System, lol?
