Does tackling style affect how often you get KLs?

I think it does
just as I think anything related to forcing fumbles also helps (like FF% gear)

Yes, and sometimes in unexpected ways. I've found that power tackling can actually lower the tackle quality so much that the added fumble chance can't overcome it and is actually less effective for knocking passes loose. My strength CB plays substantially better on balanced tackling.

Agreed.

I was thinking about how the tackle settings worked... Since we know that the tackle quality passes over to the FF roll if it meets the threshold of excess over the break tackle roll... Is power tackling really a decrease in tackle quality for a bonus to FF?
I wonder if wrap up tackle, balanced tackle, and power tackle don't all work with the same formula, but the further you go towards power, the more the multiplier is on the roll. Such that on wrap up tackle you get the basic tackle formula. On balanced you get the basic tackle formula, but it is multiplied by something between 0.75 and 1.25 (numbers made up)? This would make your missed tackles due to bad luck increase, but also possibly increase your chance of getting a solid hit that would increase the score, which transfers over to the FF analysis. For power tackling it would be even bigger swings, like between 0.5 and 1.5, which could turn a sure tackle into either a FF or a miss. Obviously even on wrap up there is still a tackle roll.
I'm not suggesting that is how it works, but it might be worth asking Bort just how that roll works.
If it doesn't work the way I propose it does, perhaps it makes sense to look at something like it.

That's why they added the special bonus for Monster Hit (and maybe some other SAs? I forget) that can double the effect only if you're on Power tackling.
