as long as purely random penalties are part of the game, i dont see why in game injuries based on energy couldnt be included. simple things like cramps, wind knocked out, dehydration, sprained muscle could miss anywhere between a set number of plays to the rest of the game. but none of them would carry over to the next game.
because ppl pay money to see their dots play? there is a limit to how far a simulation should be taken

EDIT: injuries are not specifically against the NGTH list. So I will leave this open for discussion.
They used to be on the NGTH list. http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4860081&page=2#44945343
