""We have recently had to deal with several reports of teams gaming the promotion system in order to have "stat padding" teams. What these teams were doing is gutting the team they were on the previous season and sending the players to a lower tiered team so that they would be facing lesser competition. This is in direct violation of our rules posted here:

Any team found to violate these rules, will have action taken against them as stated in the above announcement. We do not take this lightly and it can potentially lead to a permanent ban from the game if actions are repeated.

I don't get what they are punishing here.

To me it sounds like their saying.. you can't release your bad players for better players...

no its not that.

Its someone in elite league #1 releasing all 55 players...and then buying a team in league#5 and signing those same 55 players there.

The promotion system sucks, though. My casual team just made the playoffs in regular and got promoted to elite instead of competitive. How does that make any sense?

Yeah, I was promoted to Elite as well and barely made playoffs.

I miss the old days where you were promoted when you actually won something...

this. my team lost in the first round of playoffs by like 20-30 points. im in elite but i do like the people there so im over it.

my no boost/no custom team lost in 1st round playoffs by like 50 something and was put in prep comp #1

Same boat as you, looks like we will be competting for last place! Also sucks that cpu teams are able to offer much higher contracts and agents dont get that they cant do anything with the money other than obviously higher moral
