Have you already looked at the Wiki? http://wiki.goallineblitz.com/index.php/Leveling#Automatic_Level_Gains

Yes I have and the way it explains it doesn't really make sense. Basically it says 2 PTs are divided amongst majors. So then what does how high the major is.

ALGs are essentially automatic additions your player's attributes with each level you gain. Based on archetype, a player gains more of these automatic additions in certain attributes. For example, a 'Man Specialist' CB is going to get more in their majors (Speed, Agility, Jumping, and Vision). Minor attributes for the archetype will receive less points and some attributes receive none of these automatic additions, but again it all depends on the archetype.

ALGs are important because they are not victims to the attribute caps. With SPs when you increase a higher attribute it can cost you 4, 5, 6, etc. SPs just to raise the value 1 point. ALGs are added as a flat increase, not affected by the usual limitations that the attribute caps provides.

Those 2 points are distributed evenly across your majors.

Majors are the gold starred attributes on your skill points page. Most positions have 4, but some have 3 or 5.

This page also tells you the majors and minors for each archetype. It also lists the ALG next to the stat.

What doesn't make sense? I just re-read that page and it seems straight forward. Is there an aspect of dot development your don't understand? Sometimes a small understanding of one concept can throw off your understanding of many other concepts.
