Whether its at WalMart or your local gas station there are gift or renewal cards for games like WOW for Farmville or ITunes or anything you can think of, why couldnt there be GLB Fex Points cards? It could make a perfect gift if you have a friend or family member that plays the game or if you want to buy some when your out and about. I think if you made a point card with the $9.99 Booster Pack, $24 Double Booster and $54.75 Division 1 card people would buy it for themselves or others.

Was wondering when someone would bring this up again.

Lets see the game get out of Beta while still retaining a handful of people before they waste focus on this.

-1 There is a far gap in popularity when it comes to GLB v. Wow, Farmville, ITunes, or anything you can think of.

Ya but if there were Flex Point Cards out there dont you think some people who dont know about the game might be interested and join the game. I think it could have potential to bring in new members.

I don't think Myd is against the idea itself. I just think he views this as placing the cart before the horse.

And that's a view I tend to agree with. GLB can't afford that kind of expense right now. Once they get out of Beta and begin marketing, maybe they can afford the expense. Don't get me wrong. I think it's a good idea, just that it's too soon.

Exactly. There is considerable costs associated with those cards including legal fees, banking arrangements, production costs, distribution focus, etc..

As for people trying the game after discovering it on a card in a gas station or store.. doubtful in my opinion. I know I rarely pay attention to them and even if I do, by the time I get home to check it out on the computer, its been long forgotten. And the odds of be buying a card for a game I never checked out before is pretty slim. The idea of cards in a store being used as advertising is just not realistic compared to other advertising methods.

-1 NGTH, This is no different than the Donate Flex Points to Agent I suggested. You could just buy Agents FP Cards if they bring there Dot to your Team. Too much room for corruption.

QFT

The idea someone would buy a card for a little known game that they don't know anything about on the odd chance they even noticed it in those racks it is laughable at best. What we need is real advertising to up the user base.
