I plan on creating players for a rookie team on Day 1 of the new season... I also plan on buying a rookie team. When's the best time to do this? Any advice?


Not sure if it still does this or not, but I remember if I created players before the start of the new season, it would show their stats page for the previous season they were created - even though I created them in the off season. I'm OCD like that and just don't wanna see a bunch of blank stats from a season they didn't compete in.

Assuming that Bort does not change the policy about plateau boosts, and that you don't mind missing the 3 boosts that you could have used by creating the offseason before, the best day for you to create is day -8 (i.e. the first day of the new season). You will not lose training points by doing that, so all you lose is the option to boost 1-4 right from the start.

Buy it before the season rollover, that way you can get a loan and expand your stadium for the first season. You only get one opportunity per season to add sections, and that happens the night of season rollover.
