Agility is the single greatest component to getting the Spin SA to fire. As this is the single best break tackle SA for high agility players, it helps immensely (albeit indirectly). It does not, as far as I know, contribute to the base break tackle roll though.

From a Bort Q&A, 7.29.11:
"Strength/Agility/Carrying go into the general roll for tackle avoidance or breaking, regardless of the SA that gets added to it"
Sounds like agility adds at least slightly to the base roll for a broken tackle as well. My guess would be the base roll looks like STR > CAR > AGL > (JMP), with jump only effecting dive tackle rolls.

No, I don't think it does. Lower confidence will mean lower morale which in turn might mean a penalty to str, car and agi, but con directly does not factor into the roll.

Yep, good call - I'm guessing it's very minor compared to the others ... but here's Bort on 10.01.11:
"It does go into a bunch of stuff in varying degrees, such as: - It helps avoid morale reducing SA's - It can help recover more quickly and not fall down when your block is broken - It can help you avoid being pancaked when losing the blocking battle - Helps you catch or deflect passes (or hinders you if low) on 3rd/4th down - Helps you tackle and break tackles successfully - Helps keep you from fumbling on a big hit Plus all the morale stuff. Basically if you think of a situation in which it would be helpful to not be a scared weenie, it's probably at least a minor factor."

Bort seems to have designed the sim to include most attributes in everything, it's just a question of which ones have a large effect versus a very small one.

Probably 1:1, but strength has the added bonus of being the primary attribute for Power Through, which is the most powerful break tackle SA.
Strength is definitely more important in the break tackle roll.
Build two dots, one with strength as the first attribute you raise and one with carrying.

It's been done, and sometimes the guy with higher carrying is better at breaking tackles. You don't know that strength is "definitely" more important, that's just what you believe, but you also have advocated going agility first on a power back.
