Most of the people that voted against it are shit owners that were afraid that the suggestion would allow more teams to compete with them during the recruiting season. Funny how they think they could suck more than they already do.
Just wondering but can't you simply purchase a team first, then sell the other one? Without having to worry about the penalty?

Sometimes something comes up and you sell the team without realizing you will want another one. One of the best examples of this is you sell your team on day 40 for whatever reason. A team you have quite a few dots with unexpectedly sells their team during the offseason. Now you want to buy your own team and put your dots on the roster and fill up the rest. Problem is the stupid 21 day rule is preventing that.
Two things to keep in consideration. Would you rather the user be able to buy the team during the offseason and fill the roster? Or, would you rather he buy the team in the middle of the next season and fuck up the league balance? Keep in mind that if a couple of teams go to tiebreaker for the playoffs the midseason purchased team would most likely muck things up. Team A gets to play a lolCPU team and team B has to play a team with mostly human owned dots on the roster.
The other thing is people send tickets to support asking them to override the 21 day penalty. Support always grants this if they are confident you will field a competitive roster. Do you really want support answering tickets for shit like this during the offseason?
