Okay I just bought a Prep Competitive team today.. I have some questions.

1. When do I begin recruiting?
2. For a Prep Competitive team, what's the level cap? I have a level 31 QB that's 79 days old on my team but I think the cap said 40 days old?
3. It says I'm 7 million dollars over the salary cap. Am I screwed?

Thanks.. I'm coming back after 2 years and I'm a season 1 vet.. owned a few teams a while ago.. just don't know how things work now.

1. You never begin recruiting because recruiting never truly ends.
2. In a few days your team will be in University. Day 80 dots at the end of this season (day40) are what you should be looking for.
3. Your stadium is pretty well behind and the team doesn't have much money. Either find a CFO that can work miracles or demote down to rookie and start over on the stadium imo.

Yeah I might demote down to rookie. That'll fix my Salary Cap issues, right? Thanks bro

Paying at or near minimum salaries is the way to go until your stadium is finished or near completed.

3000 a day for prep leagues is way too much salary imo. I figure most likely that contract was signed before you bought the team, though. You can stay at the prep/university level if you wish. It's doable if you know what you're doing or bring on a CFO that knows what they are doing. Won't be easy, but doable.

Yeah I just switched to Rookie so I could build the whole team myself with everything completely anew.

So basically a smart thing to do with Rookie is to use my free player to create a QB that fits my own style and boost him 3 times to level 4? I know the league cap is 20.. can I sign players at like level 15-19 before the season instead? Sorry things are different now.

Are you building all the dots for your team or will it be a multi agent team?

It will be multi-agent. I want to build 1-2 dots though.

In that case, I wouldn't build a QB, HB, K, P, or returner. As an owner it's best to build positions that are hard to get people to build and leave the spots that are easy to find open for others.

Makes more sense. Like a G or a C. I still am curious about the level cap thing. Can I sign like a level 16 QB that can start day one or is it like how the Pee-Wee leagues are in Rookie, where I NEED to have people make me dots and start off at level 1?

If you select rookie league on your team's homepage any dot on the roster will be automatically removed from the team.

Yes, you will need people to create the dots. If you can't find enough people use the marketplace on day 40+ to find day 0 players.

I requested to switch to Rookie. So whenever team movement happens, I assume that'll happen.
