Lets face it, the forums are a mean nasty place, the sort you find next to the docks where the ships with chipping paint and suspect cargos handled by men who might not have all their papers in order.

It would behoove GLB if we all played a little nicer together I think.

But the traditional methodology of over moderation would simply backfire. Banned users don't spend money.

A more reasoned and conniving approach would be to create a forum entitled "Flamers Annonymous".

Inside Flamers Annonymous players would be free and coached to tell their flame horror stories, and how their guilt and bannings have caused them to lose networks and team mates and be perma benched and other disruptions to their GLB lives (the only ones they likely have of course).

The only special hitch required would be anonymity. Anyone posting into Forums Anonymous would get a new forum tag just for that forum, such as "John" or "Joe" or "Erasmus".

In that way we could freely talk about our experiences and shame without being mocked in the main forums, undoing all of the therapeutic benefit as we retaliate and also reducing Flamers Annonymous participation.

Please, Bort, we need this. Maybe, even, you need this.

Give us FA. And GLB can get a little better, 12 steps at a time.

Is this a joke suggestion?

If you want you can always create this private forum and accomplish whatever you want.

Yello's suggestions were a lot better before The Big Cack Envy bought his account.

anonymity works both ways... people could flame without having it being linked to a user name.

not to mention, the rules that would probably be broken, we'd have to do it where the mods could track the user... and then you have link to user names, what about PMs etc etc etc

it's way to much of a hassle logistically speaking, and it's a nightmare waiting to happen in practice

for all those reasons, this is going to be labeled as NGTH
