Disappointment is a part of games just as it is a part of life. As are idiotic ideas as expecting sympathy for a locked thread.

Back when GLB was FUN and there were enough owners and agents to fill all the treams with players and not CPU's...When you could work hard and slow build a championship team...Back when the game was level based...A few disgruntled whiners agitated about switching the game from Level based to the current ABL. Since, the game has gotten warose as the whiners continually complain about the state of the game and the lack of talent. Not enough agents has lead to down sizing and eliminating leagues. New players don't have a chance to grow their players with out spending tons of money that many don't have. Bort and his admin cronies discovered a few would stick around and support their lifestyle by "investing" in FP's to build their "Pro" teams.

Now, it's become a pitiful money machine with boring boards and a lack of compitition. ABL supporters crow about how much better the game is (while they wrack up HUGE credit card bills on their parents credit cards) and the rest of us watch is wry amusement as the game slowly sinks and dies.

It's sad and beautiful in a way. Posters like this are convinced they're right...But the number of shrinking users increase day by day... Proving them they're wrong.

Interesting points of view. However, it can also be pointed out as an argument that:

1. You can play and compete in PW leagues and, to a degree, Rookie leagues without boosting and be ok.
2. You can play in user-made non-boost leagues and have fun.
3. You have a completely free player which includes free boosts.
4. You can win RP for boosting players by the Survivor contests and EB's semi-seasonal trivia contest.
5. You can find a different game. You don't have to play. You bored? Go get a hobby.
6. You don't have to have 20+ players to have fun. A handful of players can be cost-effective if you are on a budget.

Would love to have a slow build gaining level by playing game's I couldn't agree more that its become how much you can spend as to how good your build is.

You know MYD I love you and all but how in the fuck did you forget, 7. You can Coordinate Offenses, Defenses, or Special teams all the way through to WL without spending a dime on this game.

There is no system that will satisfy fair play, short of hand picking opponents.

a) I can make a level 60 non-booster (non paying customer) team that would destroy any level 60 boosting team (paying customer and the people that keep the game going) I tried to make - it's the reason they got away from levels to begin with. Slow build or not, you simply get much more training between ALG changes as a non-booster than a boosting player does and in the hands of good builders the difference can easily be game changing with just a couple of players, let alone an entire roster.

b) Grouping by create date doesn't distinguish at all between boosters and non-boosters, so disparities will exist - on the opposite end of the spectrum as a) above.

c) Quality of team management, even at a disadvantage a good coordinator can still make an otherwise superior opponent with an average coordinator look rather tame. Give them an even kiel and it's a drubbing, and give them a slight advantage and it's a massacre.

Too many moving parts in GLB to expect perfect equality.

you dont need to spend money, you just need to learn how to play, big guy.
