I'm trying to figure out what's happening with my QB here.
He has 94. 2 vision -- raw.
He has 90.2 confidence -- raw.
He has 105.2 throwing -- raw (158 equipped).
9 Pocket, 10 Spiral, 10 Pump Fake
Plus 7 Look Off and 6 Quick Read.
Fully Equipped with Superiors, and has +18% pass quality.

The pump fake, and Look Off fire all the time.

Yet it seems his vision cone locks on 1 receiver from the moment the snap is made, and he never checks any others, It's lock in on one guy, good bad or ugly.

This is most recent game, but really they have all looked like this in S29.

Oh and: His tactics settings are normal for pro pocket passers. Conservative throw away, seldom scramble, and of course, he is not set up to favor any particular target or deep passes.

VAs are the standard stuff, too.

I found quite a few where he looked at more than one target in his last game. This is just the first half.

But I do see why you feel the way you do. He had a lot more where he locked in on one target. This could be due to the OC using custom check downs in the AI. Some of them also appear to be due to pressure from the defense - he doesn't have time to look at anyone else.

It looks like he has a lot of QR. He goes through progressions so fast that you have to go click by click to see him make them. Most of what I saw was the QB not really having enough time to even look at a second receiver.

Seriously though, this is one of those deals where someone would have to have access to a number of things to figure that out.

Yes, sorry, that's the one. If it's AI checkdowns or quality of protection, it's almost a relief

Yes, QR is maxed. But it helps to hear this from you, thanks Dub. At least we know we have to upgrade the protection.

Yeah, if the QB feels pressure then he'll get rid of the ball to the first progression instead of going through his reads. It looks like that defense blitzed you constantly.

Hmm, so a good defense could be played by doing very extensive scouting of an opponent. Figure which is the 1st target in their progressions a large majority of the time. Triple cover that receiver and blitz everything else.

Well if one is uncovered then sometimes that will flash and the QB will throw there, so you wouldn't want to only cover the first progression.

Most likely reason is that the OC of your team has his plays set something like this-

And so on. Ask your OC(s) what the progression is on some of those plays.
