Why not? This one doesn't seem like much of a reach.

Seems to me, Admin once mentioned that the code is such that it can only be added onto, not subtracted from (basically linear code).

So something like customizable archetypes (on the NGTH list) would be a major PITA. It would require adding code to negate existing code plus adding more code to fill in the hole. This would mean having to undo every preset archetype and ALG, replace it, then debug it....for every individual player. To do this just for one position would be even more problematic since it would completely unbalance the other positions. It would require whole new algorithms for interaction between positions on all facets of every play just to re-balance the positions. Basically, it's a major overhaul which would affect every existing player, and would likely require a reset just to fix it.

Linear code when it gets long has to be debugged quickly whenever new code is added. Otherwise, finding an error by tracing back code can be painstakingly tedious. The larger the change to the code, the more time-consuming it is to debug. On a site like GLB, time can cost money and even a loss in customer base.

For the same reason, customizable SA trees are unlikely to happen, though they might actually be a little easier to implement than customizable ALGs.

I could be wrong....I'm no programmer. Admin obviously knows more about it than I do. That's just my educated guess based on what I believe I have read.
