Next to the Timeouts Left sections of the AI, add a modifying "Exactly", "Or Less" and "Or More" drag down.

I am being told right now it is exactly. Thats ridiculous since it means if I want to have an input for the opponent having any time outs left I have to put in three separate inputs for that.

Yes I could just have the other inputs I want to happen if he has zero in that setting be ahead of it and set to zero time outs. But those are actually settings I want to have happen in other scenarios and it would be equally onerous to do that if not more so.

Whereas if there was just the modifying drag downs requested, it could be handled with one input.

That would be a much more eloquent resolution.

See it done, GLB. See it done.

It takes no time to just add those inputs to complete your AI. and if you add them then you can't blame anyone for screwing anything up but yourself. so -1 from me since it is such a easy fix that you should be doing yourself instead of having GLB do it for you.

Please edify me why it matters how many timeouts the opponent has.

I have been OC'n and DC'n for 12+ seasons, and have had some success (granted not at WL) and I have never worried about how many time outs my opponents have.

I stick by my and think it may be time for you to stop over thinking things and take the KISS approach , with that last "S" clearly describing this suggestion

Clearly you missed the last play of the last Miracle game....

There I should have punted.

But if he was out of timeouts I could have knelt down and taken it to over time. Now I could have stacked it to make 0 be good enough but that requires re-working alot of other stuff and thats annoying when there could and should just be more choices in the AI as per the OP.

Extrapolating past that how many kneel downs I could do would to run out the clock at any time would depend upon the exact number of time outs. Again I could probably stack that out but the need to stack things is annoying and can lead to errors or player confusion. Laying out the AI should not require programming skills. And even then, programming has greater than less than terms as well.

Is it as important as fixing OT blocking intelligence, no. But it would be nice to have.

I definitely screwed up, no doubt.

But that is not an excuse for a clunky user unfriendly interface.

Adding these terms would make the UI that much more useful.

seriously Yello1 if the interface is so bad and the game is so bad then just do us all a favor and GTFO. your endless string of suggestions just to save you a little work is ridiculous. I get so tired of coming into the suggestions forum and reading your whining all the time. If you would focus on your teams and do the work instead of wanting GLB to do it for you then you may have some form of success as a owner. until you get it through your thick skull that you need to actually put some work into the game to be successful. then you will never have much if any success at the game.

I am sorry if the above post came across as a little rude but your constant whining about the game is getting tiring. I for one wish you would either put the time you waste in the suggestions forum into your teams. or just quit this game all together. I seriously couldn't play a game if I thought it had as many flaws as you do.

I seen it. What play you called there had nothing to do with timeouts. Score was tied, you where deep in your own zone, it was 4th and like 15 to go, there was 19? seconds left in the 4thQ.....and you passed.

What timeouts would have to do with that is beyond me. Just drop back and punt it. Kneeling it would not have run out the clock, would have been just as bad or worse. It would have been a turnover on downs if you kneeled it, change of possesion stops the clock. Maybe you could try and get your QB to just run back into his own endzone to kneel it, if you want the other team to win.

If you where trailing I can see going for it, but tie score, should be punting there EVERYTIME. How many timeouts the opponent has is irrelevant. Stop complicating things and K.I.S.S.

Thing is, all his suggestions would not simplify the game. Like this one, it would actually add to the complexity.
It's quite simple now, once you've done it a few times and get the hang of the interface and knowing how AI's read. Many of yello's suggestion add options to it, therefore would be making it more complex.

So let me get this straight, Yello screws something up then comes to suggests to get Bort to fix it? How unusual?

Try reading the whole post and it would have been entirely clear. But let me spell it out for you some more.

Setting up the fix for my screwed up oversight is where the time out thing comes into play. In some settings there you would want to kneel in others to punt. You might even want to kneel before 4th down if you were worried about turnovers and so deep in your end of the field and with time too short to realistically go downfield and score. Particularly if your team is not a great passing club.

But knowing if kneeling on first or second or third and then fourth is enough to run out the clock requires knowing precisely how many TOuts the other team has.

Yes it could be done through stacking and stacking and stacking, each for the field positions you want to consider that option.

But that is beyond tedious.

And given the ability to have a More Than Less Than Equal To set of modifiers, it is pointless tedium that could be easily avoided with a smarter friendlier User Interface.

No, Yello sees an error in his AI, goes to fix it and realizes that the fix is awkward given the crappy UI, suggests an improvement to the AI.

Its like Automatic Transmissions. No one REALLY needs them. But they really are more convenient and for most folks far more popular,

And in this case, the "Automatic Transmission" performs even better than the Stick.

This is the suggestions forums, its for suggestions.

If you dont like suggestions, stupid or otherwise, well, as you say GTFO.

I'm gonna +1 this.

There are many things in GLB that require users to find a work-around, often extremely simple, but that doesn't justify the lack of foresight in the code. Signing fa players to a cpu team in order to use facilities during the preseason is one example. Simple work around but also a simple fix.

For those of us who are content with choosing "0" or "any number" for opponents remaining time outs can continue doing so. This just gives someone else another option, an easier option to some, for doing the same thing.

and this:
