I see some things that looked a bit buggy and I posted in the forum only to learn that they cant view private scrims.

It would probably be beneficial to everyone if they could review a private scrim if needed.

We are also team owners, coordinators, and dot builders, so I don't think this would really be fair.

If a major bug pops up in a private scrim, eventually it's going to happen in a public game too.

I get that but I assume you guys hold yourselves to a certain level like any mod that you wont abuse your powers. I mean the mods can suspend people so that is a whole level of power in my mind above looking at a scrim that someone wants you to view.

I do get that it should happen in the game as well eventually but somethings happen way less often then others im sure.

I would instead like the ability for team owners/GM's to make a certain play visible to the public. That way if you need to show off a bug you can, if you want to show off a highlight you can. I'm not sure all of the logistics behind it yet, I assume both parties would need to mark it public and what not.

Bug mods can't ban anybody and forum mods wouldn't have need to see private scrims, so you can't really use one to justify the other.

As for the notion that bugs mods would not take advantage of their powers, I'm confident that the team we have now would not. Unfortunately, much of GLB is not as trusting as you are, and just the potential for an unfair advantage would cause a lot of unnecessary rioting. If you feel really strongly about an issue that you saw in a private scrimmage, you could always PM Catch22 with your concerns. As an admin, he can see them.

Somewhat of a similar suggestion, but a compromise. (if both owners accept)

Oh ya so they have the advantage of seeing the games I don't want them to? No way.

A better idea...maybe...possibly...I don't know...run open scrims instead of private ones?

Private scrims are private for a reason. While I would like to think that I'd not take advantage, once I view a private game, I cannot 'un-see it'

Also - a big reason we lock Private Scrims is because we need more than one or two examples of a bug. Public games can be seen by all, which makes it a lot easier for the GLB community to come up with additional replays.

-1 from me.

Ok, I get the Mods don't want this but what about being able to check a box on a particular play that allows viewing? This way you wouldn't need to see the whole game... or be invited to be a "temp GM" so you can have access to view (which happens a lot)... you could simply review the play in question without intrusion beyond that. The team with the "bug issue" could simply check a box on the play in question, then post it to the forum as usual. It could even be more useful as it would now allow "private scrims" to post individual plays on the board for a vote (which they can't now) for "play of the week".
