Get rid of PLFT all together and stick with Marketplace exclusively

Here is what should be added to M.P. that would be transferred from PLFT

1. Add agent name to marketplace search results
2. Label for Casual/Regular/No Preference (similar to "Willing Backup" sort)
3. Add "Special Teams Player" or "STOP" pos. but still keeping the arch. search option
4. Allow 'level of interest' to have more user input to reflect true interest in teams/players
5. **Add Teams (TLFP) to Marketplace with more flexibility/sort options (add ranges)
6. Allow for optional alerts to be sent when when team or agent responds with comment.
7. Show number of visits that can be reset by agent or team owner, somewhat like a hit counter.
8. Increase the expiration time on marketplace ads or get rid of it (them).
9. Allow all agents to post marketplace ads on day 33.

Leave the PLFT for Coordinators or rename it to CLFT

The TLFP and PLFT forums were supposed to be wiped when the marketplace was introduced. I would like to see an upgrade or two made to the marketplace and then the recruiting forums be wiped. They were a clusterfuck before age based leagues. After the introduction of ABLs the recruiting forums are a joke. Most people placing ads in the PLFT forum still use levels rather than age. Completely retarded to keep the recruiting forums.

there needs to be a way to merge the marketplace and search functions...perhaps have "free agent pool" listing where the agent has to opt-out rather than opt-in like the marketplace

also increase the expiration time on marketplace ads or get rid of it...the ads go away automatically when a player is signed, right? so why not let the ad sit there until someone is signed?

but one problem i see is how can we recruit early? Right now i start recruiting before day 30 because ppl post in the PLFT forum but with the marketplace they cant be on it until they are a FA so it would just be crazy during the off season

I think when the notice for team renewals come, agents should be able to post as if they were a FA. I think the only odd thing is what is labeled as a FA. If you are on a CPU team, you are still on a team. So I would consider a FA, anyone that would be potentially looking for another team after day 33 (which many begin when their team is out of the playoffs).

This gives ample time to make some contacts before day 40/41

yeah but you cant post in the marketplace unless you arent on a team or on a cpu team.

if this was implemented they would have to allow anyone to post their dot on the marketplace even if they were on a human owned team.

That is what I was saying, make that happen (allow marketplace ads on day 33)

Being that the PLFT forum is already subverting the so-called "tampering rule", I see no reason why this wouldn't be allowed in order to give a 7 day buffer to all agents looking for teams.

im all for this idea then. would make it easier to sort and recruit.
