My suggestion is simple. Remove the 3 message limit. Often times when discussing tactics, etc. with another user there can be the need for multiple messages when dealing with these things and if you forget one thing after responding to three messages from the other user then you are out of luck until they get back on again.

1. The first naysayer will say "use chat." Not everyone is in the same time zone or works the same hours. If it's someone you can't meet up with at the same time then the chat doesn't work for you.

2. The second naysayer will say "if they take away the three message rule I'll get spam in my inbox." Then, just block the user. You can still block people from sending you PM's all together.

-1 anymore than 3 is more than anyone needs seriously. you have team forums, private forums and even chat so this isn't needed

no one is taking it away right now it is set-up that if you have 3 unread PMs from someone that they are blocked from sending more until one of the PMs are read or deleted.

give up on this 3 message thing. Its there for a reason.

If you're sending that many messages you two should hook up in emails, IM's, or at a coffee shop (followed by a motel).

Buy a private forum for tactics, and only invite those whom you discuss them with,. Does that mean i'm a naysayer?

I dont see any reason other than the two the op posted which could be fixed by allowing the user to select how many pms they can receive from 1 user. Then everyone wins.

Ill +1 because this isnt too big a deal but its something that could be done easily and if people want this then they should have it.
