On the account settings tab, have a section for "Scouting". Each position and archetype would show up along with drop down boxes. Allow a user to select which scouting bars (max 2 + overall) and which stats (Max 3 sets) show up per archetype.

This would only effect their account, so thus shouldn't be an issue with people trying to keep other people from view stats etc.

This would be a way for people to choose to scout how they wanted to scout. It would allow for stats and scout bars to really mean something for the individual user.

While I am all for the idea, I think it would be lower on the priority list than sim fixes.

+1 though

Wouldn't it be easier to just have all relevant stats appear. If I'm limited two 2 and I'm looking at a FB, for example, I need to see, rushing, blocking, receiving. If I can only see two, then I'm going to end up loading the page 2 times, plus the settings page 2 times, so that I can see all three.

Just showing everything might be a few extra DB calls, but as it is now, I need to load the page, I need to look at his season stats and more - and still have no idea how his build is. With it as it is (or limiting it to any two) then there is a lot more full page loading being done than just grabbing all the relevant lolbar data in the first place.

the limit was there so that it wouldn't mess with the way the page is currently laid out. That makes it less work, thus more likely to happen

A scrollable div wouldn't affect the layout AND would give you a net gain in server load.

It's actually about 2 hours more work to create a whole interface page to make and save settings, database fields to store which bars you want to see for every position/archetype - but whatever.
