With the new changes to the OL/DL blocking interaction, linemen should be allowed another VA reset to adjust to this.

It's a game in Beta, IMHO, testing would be better served if complete resets were available every season.

I still cannot see why we cannot reset them all every off season.
Sort of a counter nerf exercise.

-10000. Before they simplified the NGTH list , unlimited VA resets each season was on it-- and for good reason.

The current limited resets are a compromise between realism (no one decides "I think I'll be less of a clutch player next season but regain energy for the 4th quarter instead") and playability (it is fun to be able to move some points around).

If a VA itself is nerfed, there's always a reset of points in that VA, but none fall into that category this season.

Well someone also can't decide to get faster by putting "points" into it, so throw your realism out the window-I'll take the ability to change with the game for 200 Alex.

But at least you can't take your points back out of Speed once you've put them in (unless it was through basic equipment).

Don't go arguing with me about that, I set out only to play peewee in this league because I personally think people should be able to completely rebuild their player every season... unless the sim is going to stay the same and then I could see the value behind the "process" build system-as it is I think its ugly and wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I can't see building a dot and having each season go back and forth based on what Bort was thinking he should manipulate my fate with next, rather than me be able to actually adjust to the changes season by season, and in the case of peewee over the duration of the season as well.

Players decidedly change their personality, focus, and training regimens from season to season, or can anyway.

See Donovan McNabb showing up to camp fifty pounds beefier that one season, and far less agile, for example. Clearly he had swapped 15 Quick to 15 Workout.

The huge mood swings in the game function is a very good argument for full VA resets from season to season.

Once the game goes gold and is steady for a while they could phase it out (45/30/15 point resets) over a few seasons. But till then it does seem fair and reasonable to allow a generous reset policy.

Actually even on the truncated version of the NGTH list http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1470434 "unlimited VA resets" are on it, so we should be hearing "ca-click."

Relatively stable VAs give the players personality (e.g. "He's a clutch player") and work against exploits like gathering Heart of a Champion late in the season for the playoffs and then resetting it out. One can still do that with the limited resets, but at the cost of resetting other things.

Yeah McNabb lost one, but does that mean he lost all of his other VAs? NO it doesn't.

Even if a player switches to other position be it from LB to DE or to a special teamer he isn't going to be a prefect player after one season, so switching one VA seems about right.
