The first signs of a long term commitment from the management of the Cochabamba Pirates came today via a press conference. Having witnessed their team establish themselves as frontrunners for the championship, the management of the Pirates led by GM Jose Tequila announced that they were going to add 1840 seats to their stadium. The management has been very stringent in terms of signing FA’s and it was speculated that they might sell out at the end of the season.
CEO Jack Daniels had this to say about the direction of the owners and team management, “We are here to stay. I am not sure where you got ideas about us wanting to sell the Pirates or relocate. We have an extremely loyal fan base and we decided to reward them for their commitment to support the team. Construction on a spanking new tier of the stadium will begin in the offseason. The owners have splurged $1M in their efforts to increase home field advantage. The money will add 1840 seats. The new sections will be numbered 143-149 and will be added to the northwest corner.”
In other developments GM Jose Tequila applied for residency for his cousin brother Jose Tequila Black who lives in El Salvador.
