The issue:
The HoF is grossly weighted on stats, but plays little role in adjusting for season to season or dealing with large changes in performance due to the dynamic sim. Stats accrued in Season 1 hold no relevance to stats accrued in Season 27.

The fix:
Base the HoF off of trophies won (or if it's possible, the top 10 in that particular stat category). Weight the trophies by gold/silver/bronze and obviously most importantly the league they were won in. Then use the old stats sorting as a minor add-on (which will likewise rank those without trophies).

While you're at it:
Identify each player with the last name he used before retiring. I'm sure there's a way of having that pinned to him instead of getting guys who are listed as "retired player".

This definitely won't be a perfect system, but it should be far better than what we currently have.

Especially if it's weighted right, where it'll pull the guys who stat whored in Regional Pro down and push the guys who performed in WL up.

they definitely need to either have a new post beta weighted HOF or get rid of it completely. i like the trophyies being used because that is at least a marginal comparison against like players. just dont weight it so much that it becomes yet another "only wl matters" idea.

HOF is unfortunately a complete farce of a system.
Massive overhaul needed.
ANY step towards fixing would be a step in the right direction. Even if it's not a final solution, at least begin the fixing so we can get to something that at least makes a little sense.

Nucleus's thread is also completely different. They both are in regards to the HoF, but they are not duplicates.

Fame should be included when voting.Well its in the name of the Hall itself.
Players do have a Fame tracker already we could use for this listed with points on the players profile page.
Please also remove or rename the players that are called (Retired Player) theres a ton of those.

Then we can look at the Hall of Fame the way its supposed to be.
Not this thing that looks like a list of All-Time GLB Greats.They are already ranked that way.
